LORRAINE SCHWARTZ DESIGNS ACCESSORIZES BARBIE FOR CHARITY

The designs of Lorraine Schwartz have graced the arms, fingers, necks and ears of such red carpet mainstays as Angelina Jolie and Beyonce but the New York-based jeweller’s designs have graced another American celebrity – Barbie. Schwartz designed a one-of-a-kind doll accessorized in diamonds, which was sold for USD$7,500 in an online charity auction. Schwartz was one of 12 designers, including Tory Burch, Botkier and Betsey Johnson, who designed accessories for the iconic doll with proceeds benefiting scholarship programs for the Council of Fashion Designers of America. The designers raised $16,500 for the charity.
